We frequently see all sorts of icons on supplements designed to put you at ease. Those icons are strictly advertising! They are used by bad actors and good brands alike.
Many of those "GMP Certified" icons are misleading because they imply GMP practices, when the product isn’t made in a GMP Certified Manufacturing facility.
The Reason for “GMP washing”
Even if a quality brand manufactures with a factory that is certified by NSF or UL or both VeriGMP – the brand will not be able to use the NSF or UL icons on their products or website! It would cost the brand from $5,000 to $25,000 per lot – More than cost to manufacture in many cases.

Certificate of GMP Certification
Just like Registrar Corp issues a “Certificate of Registration” for companies that are FDA registered, VeriGMP® will issue a “Certificate of GMP Certification” as long as the supplements are manufactured in a GMP certified (by NSF or UL) manufacturing plant.
This can then be used by the brands in advertising. Certificates will be issued lot by lot. VeriGMP® will also certify potency, identity and purity of supplements.
